
Wayanad District is the one of the most beautiful hill station in the north-east of Kerala the gods on country, the wayanad was formed on November 1, 1980 as the 12th district in between Calicut and Kanannur districts. In the Folk etymology of the word says that it is the combination of Vayal and Naad , making it 'The Land of Paddy Fields'. There are a lot of old tribals in this area. The rainfall average is 2,500 mm per year.
